MARY RILEY 

Biography

MARY RILEY – was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and began her theatrical career very young with many performances with her local church and church choir. She received her Bachelor of Music from East Carolina University and her Masters from Radford University. Since 2000, Mary has appeared in productions across the country as well as NYC.  Some of her favorite roles include: Dorcas in The Winter's Tale,  Luciana in Comedie of Errors, Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, Gymnasia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Claire in Proof.   You can see some of her finest background work on Guiding Light and the short lived Cashmere Mafia. Mary is also a voice teacher and performs annually with the Lower East Side Arts Festival. Her current projects include: finishing the summer 2008 season at Shakespeare in the Valley, The Winter's Tale with Southwest Shakespeare in November and December, an upcoming recital to be performed at Theatre for the New City spring 2009, a jazz recital for the spring of 2009, and a new opera to be produced spring 2009.
